Snow falls down
Upon the taiga and fields
Frozen rivers
Of the Canadian Shield
Winter has woken
And has brought starvation
Snowsqualls pound the forests
Famine and emaciation
Within my veins
Hunger screams
Evil in my brain
Cursing my dreams
I have to feed
It's inside me
Cannot fight the need
Manitou of gluttony
I am wendigo
Treading on bloody snow
Terror of the North
Demon come forth
I am wendigo
Your saviour, your foe
Blackened to the core
This is real, not folklore
Blood runs hot
Melting through the snow
Steam rises
Where the crimson flows
Cut through the flesh
Divide the meat
Those that I loved
Are those that I will eat
Within my veins
Hunger screams
Evil in my brain
Cursing my dreams
I have to feed
It's inside me
Cannot fight the need
Manitou of gluttony
I am wendigo
Treading on bloody snow
Terror of the North
Demon come forth
I am wendigo
Your saviour, your foe
Blackened to the core
This is real, not folklore
I see them dead
Within my head
My children and my wife
Their blood on my knife
I am wendigo
Treading on bloody snow
Terror of the North
Demon come forth
I am wendigo
Your saviour, your foe
Blackened to the core
This is real, not folklore
I am wendigo
Treading on bloody snow
I will devour their flesh
There will be no one left

This is my favorite metal album of all time. The only bad thing is that the vocals are somewhat buried in the mix. Otherwise, the record perfectly blends a mix of metal genres with excellent songcraft. A record you'll listen to again and again. The Real Nick House

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann

While this album has many higher tempo sections, it nonetheless presents imposing funeral doom. Organ, and choirs aid in delivering all the dread of the impending apocalypse, as displayed in the opening track Crossing the Burned Wasteland, which sets the listener up with a burning crescendo; only setting us up for our inevitable downfall.
