This is the first song I've written and recorded after my transmigration from Canada to the United Kingdom.
lyrics
I will build this future for us
Under the banner of gold and trust
Snakes will lead the way to this new day
Pave the path before we are dust and fade away
Under the star
Beneath the darkness
Dread will call
I will kill the princess
I am the end
Destroyer of her dreams
Doom will fall
When I slay the queen
Shining in the shadows
Guiding our sight to victory
The princess to be our queen
Her light blinds all that we see
...All that we see
Under the star
Beneath the darkness
Dread will call
I will kill the princess
I am the end
Destroyer of her dreams
Doom will fall
When I slay the queen
Under the star
Beneath the darkness
Dread will call
I will kill the princess
I am the end
Destroyer of her dreams
Doom will fall
When I slay the queen
I am the star
At one with the night
Death will call
The girl cannot fight
I am her end
Slayer of her life
She will fall
To a star so bright
In the night
A star so dark
The girl is marked
I am of the night

This is my favorite metal album of all time. The only bad thing is that the vocals are somewhat buried in the mix. Otherwise, the record perfectly blends a mix of metal genres with excellent songcraft. A record you'll listen to again and again. The Real Nick House
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
While this album has many higher tempo sections, it nonetheless presents imposing funeral doom. Organ, and choirs aid in delivering all the dread of the impending apocalypse, as displayed in the opening track Crossing the Burned Wasteland, which sets the listener up with a burning crescendo; only setting us up for our inevitable downfall. Matt Richardson
