I am a dog
Sent to hell to learn my place
Return to here with half my face
Nothing remains but hate for all
Steel will rise so blood will fall
A filthy hound with no hopes or dreams
Shrug the murders and mock the screams
I'll send the enemy into the grave
Kill them all, the weak and brave
No
There are no heroes here
No knights with shining swords
Just the reality of life
Black without the white
Yes
I am the grey that's inbetween
The eye within the storm
I am human
I'm a monster, I am man
Don't fear a thing
Hold me and sing
I'll treat you right
If only tonight
A gentle kiss
Loving caress
Sing me the words
Oh, little bird
I'll kill when they command me to
Raise my sword and fucking run them through
A dog faced killer with a heart of hate
Shrieks in my ears and blood on my blade
Break their bones and pierce their guts
Please my masters and lick my cuts
This is the world that we all live in
The true knights die and the monsters win
No
There are no heroes here
No knights with shining swords
Just the reality of life
Black without the white
Yes
I am the grey that's inbetween
The eye within the storm
I am human
I'm a monster, I am man
Don't fear a thing
Hold me and sing
I'll treat you right
If only tonight
A gentle kiss
Loving caress
Sing me the words
Oh, little bird
Sing the words
Little bird
Don't fear a thing
Hold me and sing
I'll treat you right
If only tonight
A gentle kiss
Loving caress
Sing me the words
Oh, little bird

This is my favorite metal album of all time. The only bad thing is that the vocals are somewhat buried in the mix. Otherwise, the record perfectly blends a mix of metal genres with excellent songcraft. A record you'll listen to again and again. The Real Nick House
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
While this album has many higher tempo sections, it nonetheless presents imposing funeral doom. Organ, and choirs aid in delivering all the dread of the impending apocalypse, as displayed in the opening track Crossing the Burned Wasteland, which sets the listener up with a burning crescendo; only setting us up for our inevitable downfall. Matt Richardson
